Yo. So it doesn't look like I can figure out how to small-size the font; that'll come later then, the 25-word thing. I'm a fan of Athena's on fictionpress, annnd...she invited me and here I am, out of loyalty and also because the idea sounded fun.

Mmm.

There's not much I want to say about myself. I'm just one girl among squillions, how unique can I get? There's no one /quite/ like me though I'd bet. I've written a crapload of stuff on fanfiction under the penname "Thorn In Your Side" but I've never published in real life. Maybe I will someday, who knows? Pipeline dreams, darlings.

I have a habit of calling just about everyone 'hon' or 'baby' or some such term of endearment (bewarned: bitch may also be a term of endearment when it comes to me! ;D) and if you don't like it, don't just hem and haw, /tell/ me and I won't do it to you.

Hello, I'm the not-so-mysterious E, and I eat muffins for breakfast. At the moment I'm considering how bad I am at writing things about myself and not rambling self-centredly. I love to write, but I have a tendency to ramble. If you notice I'm getting very badly off-topic, just poke me and I'll try to stop. I'm also wondering if this blog is anything like a French salon. And wondering how long I can get away with not writing this intro piece.

In case you can't tell, I'm also rather good at procrastinating.

Rhiannon Eccentric, tired, exuberant, spastic, contradictory, nerdy, lazy, crafty, fantastical, innocent, and disillusioned. When I'm not lost in my head, I'm probably writing. Or crocheting something.



My earliest memories are of trying to write a story about a girl who goes to a magical land and plays with unicorns. Someday, I might actually finish it.

In the meanwhile, I am heavily influenced by Terry Pratchett, R. A. Heinlein, Charles deLint, J.R.R Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, and Rainbow Brite. I have a great fondness for Fantasy and Science Fiction (especially if there's unicorns), though I'll read just about anything. Including Romance novels.

I am the second eldest of seven, have a BsC in Anthropology, and I watch far too much television for my own good.

I am not a crazy cat lady, but I am crazy. Thanks, Bean, for including me in this. >:)

I've always been terrible at these introduction type things, but I'll try my best.

What do words mean to me? They mean everything. I spend almost all my free time either reading or writing. It's magical to me, the way that words can transport you to another world. If I'm not happy with my life or even just the way my day is going, I can slip into a book and completely forget it all. I think that's pretty amazing.

I've been writing stories since before I could write. I told stories to my family. My mom often quotes my grandfather, who said, when I was four, "Does she ever stop talking?" I'm a natural born entertainer, and my form of entertaining is by writing. So, there you have it. A decent introduction post, I hope. :)

I grew up in a small, boring city, the third of seven children. I'm blonde, I was home-schooled for elementary school and I'm a Libra.

I've been writing fiction since before I knew my alphabet and I've never loved anything more. There is no set genre that I stick to but a lot of my work has at least some supernatural elements in it. Many of my stories often include silly, improbable romances because, well, who doesn't love a silly, improbable romance?

My favourite authors include Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Jane Austen and Robert A. Heinlein, but if I had to guess who has most influenced my writing, I would have to say David Bowie. I suppose a lot of what I write is heavily influenced by fairytales, both the Disney versions I knew as a child and the scarier originals I studied in Children's lit.

I believe in freedom of speech, freedom of dress and freedom of anything else that doesn't infringe on other people's rights. Mainly, I believe that people should find their own path and do what makes them happy. In an ideal world, I'd be an anarchist.
